# Media library

> Every image and video on the site in one place. Upload, generate, download originals, and delete safely.

The **Content** tool is your media library. It is the same collection the editor shows when you click an image.

## The library

A grid of everything uploaded, newest first, with tabs for all, images and video. Drop files onto it to upload. Open a tile to see its description (written for you on upload, editable here) and its actions:

* **Download** gives you the original file.
* **Delete** checks whether the file is in use on the site first and tells you where.

## Uploading

Images are stored at several sizes so every page serves the right one. Video takes a few minutes to process after upload. The tile shows where it is up to.

## Generating images

Where enabled for your site, the composer makes images from a description, with a choice of style, shape and size, and can use reference images. An image you keep becomes an ordinary library item.

## Image or video slots

Some places in a design take either an image or a video. Clicking one opens the library showing both. A video plays muted and looping in place of the image.
