The bar says editing is off
Inline editing has a master switch. An admin turns it on under Settings, then General, then Editing. Presence and the other tools work either way.Publish says “Failed”
The reason is shown beside the button.
Your changes are still staged after a failure. Nothing is lost by retrying.
Someone else saved first
If two people change different parts of a page, both changes are kept automatically. If two people change the same field, Stage stops rather than guess. Reload the canvas and make your change again. For an article, saving stops for that session when this happens, and you are asked before leaving so you can copy your text out.My change is not showing on the site
- A page: did you press Publish, then confirm? Cancel discards everything.
- A full rebuild takes a minute or two. Refresh the site after that.
- An article must be switched from Private to Public in its settings, then published.
- A scheduled article goes live at its date, within a few minutes.
- Your browser may be showing a cached copy. Hard refresh, or open the page in a private window.
I cannot click a piece of text
Not every piece of text is editable. Fixed labels, buttons the design controls, and text generated from other content are not. If it should be editable, send a Request with a pin on it.A link in a post goes to the wrong place
Campaign links are minted against the site address in Settings. If that address is missingwww when the site uses it, or the other way round, links bounce through a redirect. Ask an admin to check the site address.
